What you hear
Public posts about sports: scores, trades and big calls. It is the Sports part of Frequo Mix, on its own.
How it picks posts
Sports plays in segments by league: 10 posts from one league, then the next. Accounts that are not tied to one league play together, introduced as "More sports." Each segment starts with the league's name, said once.
Frequo picks the accounts, and each one passes its checks first: public, posting in English, mostly on the channel's topic, on X for at least a year and posting between 1 and 30 times a day.
New posts are checked by moderation before a voice reads them, and anything unclear waits for a person.
A post has to make sense when you only hear it. Posts under 6 words, under 12 with a picture, a video or a quote too long to read, posts that lead into a picture you cannot see, and short posts that only point somewhere else are left out. A post does not play twice until you have heard everything on the channel.
Who it is for
Fans who want the scores and the talk on the drive home, at the gym or while they do something else.
How it behaves
Press play and it keeps going, one post after another. Each clip starts with the account's name, then the post, read word for word by a labelled AI voice. Nothing is summarized or rewritten.
- Skip moves on to the next post. Free has 8 skips a day, and Pro has no limit.
- Previous goes back one post. The lock screen and headset buttons can play, pause, skip and go back.
- A post is never cut off halfway. A post too long to read in full is left out instead.
- Links are not read out, other than a plain address like example.com, and pictures and videos are not described. The player shows the full post with a link to the original on X.
- Posts and their audio are deleted 24 hours after they were posted, and sooner if they are deleted or made private on X.
- When there is nothing new left, it says "You're caught up on Sports. Here's Frequo Mix." and switches to Frequo Mix. Tune back in later for new posts.
The Tuner sets the speed, the pause between posts, an ambient bed under the voice, the voice itself and a sleep timer.
