What is Frequo?

A radio for public posts. It reads posts aloud one after another, grouped into channels, so you can keep up while you drive, walk or work. Each clip names the account, says it is an AI voice and links back to the original post.

Do I need an account?

No. Tap Tune in and it plays. You need an account for Following (the accounts you follow) and for Pro. You can sign in with X or with an email code.

What is Following?

When you sign in with X, Frequo reads the list of accounts you follow and plays posts from the ones that are on Frequo. We use the follow list only. X's sign-in screen says we can "see posts" because that is how X names the permission; we do not read your timeline or post anything.

Who picks the posts on the other channels?

Each channel has a list of public accounts chosen for the topic. New posts are checked by our moderation before they are read, and anything unclear waits for a person.

Why do I hear the same voice for everyone?

Frequo never imitates the person who wrote a post. Every post is read by a studio AI voice that is clearly labelled. Free listeners hear Ara; Pro adds Leo and Eve.

Does it work in the car?

Yes, through your phone's browser and car audio. Controls are large and one tap each. Pro buffers ahead so tunnels and dead zones do not cut the audio. Please set it up before you drive and keep your eyes on the road.

What does Free include?

Every channel, Following up to 200 accounts, the Ara voice and 30 skips an hour. No time limit and no card.

What does Pro add?

Unlimited skips, two more voices, drive-ahead buffering, up to 10 channels of your own and Following up to 1,000 accounts. $7.99 a month or $59.99 a year. See Pricing.

Can I get Pro free by inviting friends?

Yes. Account has your invite link. When a friend makes a new account with it and listens on 3 different days, you both get a month of Pro, up to 6 months each. If you already pay, the month comes off your next bill. Nothing is charged and no card is needed.

How do I cancel?

Account, then Manage billing. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for. A first yearly or Founding plan can be refunded in full from Account within 14 days.

Safety and privacy

I heard something that should not be on air.

Tap Report under the post while it plays. Frequo skips it at once and a person reviews it. You can also use the contact form.

A post of mine is on Frequo. Can I take it off?

Yes. Delete it on X and it leaves Frequo too, or see For creators to take your whole account off.

What do you keep about me?

As little as we can. Anonymous listening needs no account. Usage counts carry no name, account, IP address or device id, and you can turn them off in Account. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

Who can use Frequo?

People 16 and older in the United States.

Is Frequo part of X?

No. Frequo is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by X Corp.
