What you hear
Frequo's own station. Tech, Markets, Sports and World take turns, so a short listen covers a bit of everything from the last few hours. Politics is never part of Mix.
How it picks posts
Mix plays in segments: 10 posts from one channel, then the next channel takes over. Make segments 5 or 20 posts in the Tuner.
Newer posts are more likely to play, and Mix avoids going straight back to a channel it just played.
Frequo picks the accounts, and each one passes its checks first: public, posting in English, mostly on the channel's topic, on X for at least a year and posting between 1 and 30 times a day. New posts are checked by moderation before a voice reads them, and anything unclear waits for a person.
A post has to make sense when you only hear it. Posts under 6 words, under 12 with a picture, a video or a quote too long to read, posts that lead into a picture you cannot see, and short posts that only point somewhere else are left out. A post does not play twice until you have heard everything on the channel.
Switch any channel off in the Tuner, under Segments in Mix. A channel that is off in Mix still plays when you tune to it directly.
Who it is for
Anyone who wants the radio on without choosing. If you are new to Frequo, start here, then try the single channels.
How it behaves
Press play and it keeps going, one post after another. Each clip starts with the account's name, then the post, read word for word by a labelled AI voice. Nothing is summarized or rewritten.
- Skip moves on to the next post. Free has 8 skips a day, and Pro has no limit.
- Previous goes back one post. The lock screen and headset buttons can play, pause, skip and go back.
- A post is never cut off halfway. A post too long to read in full is left out instead.
- Links are not read out, other than a plain address like example.com, and pictures and videos are not described. The player shows the full post with a link to the original on X.
- Posts and their audio are deleted 24 hours after they were posted, and sooner if they are deleted or made private on X.
- Each segment starts with the channel's name, said once, such as "Tech." or "World."
The Tuner sets the speed, the pause between posts, an ambient bed under the voice, the voice itself and a sleep timer.
